We went out on a charter with Captain Pete the day after Thanksgiving ’08. Totally worth it. Pete is great and works his butt off. His first mate was on vacation so we all helped out as much as we could. I’ve never seen a captain move so fast when he heard “Fish On!” and his excitement at getting “on the fish” was contagious. We had our limit of big fish by 11 but kept catching for fun for a few hours after that. The biggest fish we kept was 39 inches long , the biggest we threw back was 42. We caught around 20 big ones total. Really great day. Definitely recommend going out with Capt. Pete. Tight lines!

My wife and I hired Capt. Pete to take just the two of us Rock fishing a couple of days after our 20th wedding anniversary. After a slow start the Captain said he knew of a better place across the bay and off we motored. Well, once we got there, he barely put one rod in and it was “fish on.” We caught our limit in a very short span and proceeded to catch and release between 30-40 more Rock.
At one point my wife and I were each reeling in a rod while the other two rods were bending, showing hits. I said, “Captain, go ahead and reel that one in.” Pete replied, “that’s not my job.” In other words, “I’ll work and you have the fun!” And we certainly did! It was a gorgeous fall day, and a great way to celebrate 20 years of wedded bliss.
