Happy Holidays!

Dear Friends,

I hope this finds you happy and healthy and spending time with friends and family this holiday season. I sincerely thank all of you for once again giving me the opportunity to serve you on the Chesapeake. The faith and trust you have placed in me all these years is truly an honor. The older I get, the greater appreciation I have for it.

This year saw one of the biggest changes in the history of Capt. Pete’s Fishing Charters with the move to Rod and Reel in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland. That move turned out to be the best thing I’ve done for the business in a very long time. Along with being closer to clients, I was also closer to the fish and was docked at a first-class facility. I had nothing but positive feedback regarding the move. It’s fun being there; lots of positive energy and new business.

Fishing was great out of Chesapeake Beach this year. We had plenty of rockfish, big spot and some good croaker fishing as well. I enjoyed getting to know the fishing holes in Eastern Bay and the Choptank River, as well as a bunch of new places on the Western Shore side of the Bay.

I will be putting the boat in the yard for the winter soon. I hope to give her sides some fresh paint this spring if Mother Nature allows it. One fairly big change I made to the boat this year was the addition of a full enclosure to the the back of the canopy for the late fall fishery. It made things much more comfortable on those gusty days in November and December.

I hope all of you have a happy and safe holiday season and I hope your 2015 gets off to a good start. Thank you once again for your continued patronage. I am now accepting bookings for the 2015 season, so call (301-481-1889) or email (pdi787@hotmail.com) soon for the best choice of dates. Email will be the best way to get in touch with me in January and February as I plan to do some traveling.

Best Regards,
Capt. Pete

More research fishing yesterday. It seemed the fish may have been moving into the river to spawn with all the hot weather. It was pretty slow but we still caught 10 for Adam’s study. If the weather keeps on like this, we should have a great croaker run this summer!
