Fish weren’t as big today, but we had a limit and everyone had fun!

We had a fair day today. It was pretty rough out there but we scratched out a few. Hoping for improvement tomorrow!

More good news today. The boats that went out did really well so hopefully the fish are getting their act together.

Also, saw a good talk today at the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory by Eric Schwaab, a NOAA big wig and Baltimore native, about threatened fisheries.

Ah, there is hope yet… Sounds like there is a slug of big fish on the way down. They were caught between Bloody Point and the Bay Bridge the last couple of days. Hopefully they will be within range by the weekend…

Ugh! Tough weekend of fishing. We managed to have a couple of good trips, but it was a tough weekend overall. We may have won the Frederick, MD division of the MSSA tournament, however. Kind of stumbled into that unknowingly. Anyway, it looks like the big fish have left, but it was so sudden that I have a hard time getting my head around it. Perhaps they went into the shallow water? Maybe they took the weekend off? I’m not sure. Things started off so great, but went into the toilet over the weekend. Eh, we’ll see what happens this week but I think everyone is looking forward to May 16th when we can keep 18-inch fish (and I’ll be a year older, btw). There are tons of them around. We are all seeing them on our depth finders so we have high hopes!
